This issue is important for every X platform user, regardless of their position or role. When I published my books through ‘Tellwell’ publisher, their marketing manager advised me to join X and other platforms to connect with readers worldwide and explain my philosophy, helping them understand my books’ content more broadly and introducing them to me and my personality.
Personally, I don’t favour all forms of modern technology. It’s expensive, unreliable, and brings headaches, troubles, theft, and humiliation, not to mention dealing with criminals daily at any moment of your peaceful life, whether at home or in the office. I know that technology can sometimes be useful for quickly fulfilling your needs and providing services, but it is inherently a source of annoyance, headaches, and extreme cost.
Indeed, this is our modern age, and there is no escaping it for us, our children, or future generations. This era has transformed the human spirit, leaving it hollow inside, disregarding conscience in pursuit of desires, good or bad, on a far greater scale than before the invention/development of technology.
Anyway, after the marketing manager’s advice, I thought about it and realized I had no choice but to join X. And that’s a good thing; many people will get to know me, enjoy my writing, and follow me. I’ve also met many people from different social classes. I’m an architect, a sharp-tongued writer because I firmly believe in liberty and democracy, and I’m also a philosopher and a poet.
I can be an extremely arrogant in my social life if I wish, given my qualifications and professional position. In some civilized countries, we are called “gods of the material world” because we innovate, build the world, give our best to civilization, create art, and contribute to creating a better environment through our designs, to make people comfortable, enjoy life, and appreciate the environment and the world around them.
But my upbringing, and the humility and kindness taught to me by my parents, will never make me forget their words: “Look at the life of the Lord Jesus Christ; there is no one better or higher than Him except God the Almighty Father.” He was humble, and He taught people to love one another, to cooperate, to be kind, and to be good in every way.
I have noticed that many people admire my writings, some of them respectful ordinary people, some of them rude and disgusting in their style, selling themselves to attract the attention of readers/viewers, some of them educated and noble, some of them rulers/kings, presidents, ministers, actors, etc. They send me messages of appreciation and admiration, and leave a kindly note, “We are following you.”
My duty is to respect these people—readers or fans—and to communicate with them respectfully or ignore them. But my conscience wouldn’t allow me ignoring. Some have told me, “You don’t ignore us; you always leave us a greeting, a heart, a rose, a kiss mark, and so on.” I feel their happiness, especially those with disabilities, the isolated, the elderly, the forgotten, and others. This fosters respect, encouragement, friendship, and bonds of solidarity in our lost world.
But the main problem, as I mentioned before, that we all face is these “despicable scammers.” When I read a message from a fan or receive a question, I feel it’s impolite to ignore it. One problem that occurred, and continues to occur, is that a picture of a beautiful Saudi princess appeared on my website, along with some questions. At first, I honestly ignored it because I thought it was impossible for a princess of her high status to say such things. I ignored it repeatedly until she appeared in a picture in the hospital, and then she asked me once if she was beautiful.
I have never met that princess in person. From what I know, the Saudi royal family is one of the most prestigious in the world. Therefore, I was eager to find out the truth, as it is unbecoming to treat anyone with lies and contempt, and to insult and humiliate such a noble princess.
I spent some time trying to contact an office in Saudi Arabia after some members of the royal family appeared on my website claiming to be involved in charitable work and asking for my personal phone number, which I refused.
Fortunately, I found someone who explained the situation clearly and respectfully regarding the scammers using Her Royal Highness’s image which she doesn’t wish at all to do such things. During the conversation, I learned that one of her brothers has been working tirelessly, albeit unsuccessfully, with other parties to urge the CEO of these websites to take decisive action and implement a policy that respects members and prevents scammers from exploiting people worldwide.
Now, this is a great opportunity for me to send my message to Mr Elon Musk the CEO, whom I respect, to ask him to take this matter seriously and protect the reputation of users on your X platform. Please, don’t let these despicable scammers anymore ruin people’s reputations, including your own.
