This issue is important for every X platform user, regardless of their position or role. When I published my books through ‘Tellwell’ Publishing, the marketing manager advised me to join the X platform and other platforms to connect with readers around the world and explain my philosophy, helping them to understand the content of my books more broadly, and introducing them to me and my personality.
Personally, I don’t support all forms of modern technology. They are expensive, unreliable, and bring with them trouble, problems, theft, and embarrassment, not to mention dealing with criminals daily at any moment of your peaceful life, whether at home or at work. I know that technology can sometimes be useful for quickly meeting your needs and providing services, but at its core, it is a source of annoyance, trouble, and exorbitant costs.
Indeed, this is our modern age, and there is no escaping it for us, our children, or future generations. This era has destroyed a lot of industries and businesses. It transformed the human spirit, hollowing it out from within, and causing it to disregard conscience in pursuit of desires, both good and bad, on a far wider scale than before the invention and development of technology.
Anyway, after the marketing manager’s advice, I thought about it and realized I had no choice but to join X. And that’s a good thing; many people will get to know me, enjoy my writing, and follow me. I’ve also met many people from different social classes. I’m an architect and an scathing writer because I firmly believe in liberty and democracy.
Given my qualifications and professional position, I could be extremely arrogant in my social life if I wanted to. In some civilized countries, we the architects are called “gods of the material world” because we innovate, build the world, do our best for civilization, create art, and contribute to creating a better environment through our designs, making people feel comfortable, enjoy life, and appreciate the environment and the world around them.
But my upbringing, and the humility and kindness my parents instilled in me, will never make me forget their words: “Look at the life of the Lord Jesus Christ; there is no one better or higher than Him except God the Father Almighty.” He was humble, and He taught people to love one another, to cooperate, to be kind, and to be good in all things.
I have noticed that many people admire my writings, some of them are ordinary, respectable people, some of them are rude and disgusting in their style, selling themselves to attract the attention of weak readers/viewers, some of them are educated and noble, some of them are rulers/kings, presidents, ministers, actors, etc. They send me messages of appreciation and admiration, and leave a nice note, “We are following you.”
It is my duty to respect these people—whether they are readers or fans—and to engage with them respectfully or ignore them. Sometimes I give them constructive criticism, because they asked for it, and that is my democratic opinion. But my conscience won’t allow me to ignore them. Some have told me, “You don’t ignore us; you always leave us a greeting, a heart, a rose, a kiss mark, and so on.” I feel their satisfaction, especially those with disabilities, the isolated, the elderly, the forgotten, and others. This fosters respect, encouragement, friendship, and bonds of solidarity in our lost troubled world.
But the main problem, as I mentioned before, that we all face is these “despicable scammers.” When I read a fan message or receive a question, I feel it’s impolite to ignore it. One problem that occurred, and continues to occur, is that a picture of a beautiful Saudi princess appeared on my website, accompanied by some questions. At first, I honestly ignored it because I thought it was impossible for a princess of her high status to say such things. I ignored it repeatedly until a picture of her in the hospital appeared, and then she asked me once if she was beautiful.
I have never met the princess in person, but I would be honoured to do so. As far as I know, the Saudi royal family is among the most respected and esteemed in the world. Therefore, I was keen to know the truth, as it is unacceptable to treat anyone with lies and contempt, let alone insult a noble princess like her.
I spent some time trying to contact an office in Saudi Arabia after some members of the royal family appeared on my website claiming to be involved in charitable work and asking for my personal phone number, which I refused because I believe such an important figure would never do such things.
Fortunately, I found someone who explained the situation clearly and respectfully regarding the scammers using Her Royal Highness’s image which she doesn’t wish at all to do such things. During the conversation, I learned that one of her brothers has been working tirelessly, albeit unsuccessfully, with other parties to urge the CEO of these websites to take decisive action and implement a policy that respects members and prevents scammers from appearing on website and exploiting people worldwide.
Now, this is a great opportunity to address Mr. Elon Musk, the CEO whom I deeply respect and admire, and ask him to take this matter seriously and protect the reputation of users on your X platform. Please, don’t let these despicable scammers ruin people’s reputations, including yours.
