Divorce
1. A woman has the right and personal choice to divorce her husband if he refuses to take care of her in safety, respect and to collect her rights according to the terms of the marriage contract with him. See the details in Surat al-Baqarah.
2. A divorced or non-divorced woman who is breastfeeding is allowed to breastfeed her child for two full years if she wants for the period. The father of the child is obligated to provide his alimony and the non-divorce is obligated to alimony…It is not permissible to harm the mother by restricting her maintenance, or by removing the child from her, or by forcing her to return him…
This happened in the era of Mohammad’s revolution, before the rise of the West and its access to knowledge, to legislate a security for women and social justice to help the family and the needy.
3. In the event of a complete divorce, a woman does not have the right to remarry her ex-husband before her marriage to another man and divorce him, so that she is entitled to return to him with a legitimate marriage.
4. In the difference between the husband and the wife and the desire for divorce between them, the divorce must take place in a peaceful manner and good treatment without violence and threats.
Divorce is two times, the first and the second divorce, it takes place once after another, not all at once and there is no going back after the third. A man has no right to take what he gave a woman if it is a valid divorce between them.
5. A divorced woman must wait by herself for three menstrual periods or three purifications, ’that is, waiting without marriage with three menstrual cycles,’ which takes approximately three months, more or less and it is forbidden for her to conceal her pregnancy or menstruation in her womb.
See the details in the Noble Qur’an, Surat al-Baqarah and Surat al-Talaq.
Eating and Drinking
Mohammad called the believers: ‘O people eat what is on the Earth that is lawful and good, and those who believe, eat from the good things of the Earth that we have provided you with, and give thanks to god if you worship him.’ See Surat al-Baqarah, Verses 168 and 172.
The Food
• ‘It is forbidden on you the carcass, “lifeless” animal, the blood and the swine and whatever slayed and mentioned on it name another god, as “idol” Quraysh’s god, so whoever is forced to eat because of severe hunger and does not find something permissible “halal” and without transgressing the amount of legal necessity, there is no sin upon him, for god is forgiving, most merciful.’ See Surat al-Baqarah, Verse 173.
• It is permissible for you to hunt the sea and its food as your enjoyment and it is forbidden to you to hunt land as long as you remain in sanctity, and fear god, to whom you gather.’ See Surat al-Ma’idah, Verse 96.
When we talk about food, the Mohammadians are among the pioneers of peoples in cooking, preparing and tasting foods. They have faith in the technique, cleanliness, kind care and taste of delicious food. Eating is their first concern with hygiene in the family banquet and serving the guest’s feast.
The Mohammadian man or woman who does not know the art of cleanliness and the taste of cooking is not a Mohammadian.
In Surat al-Baqarah, Verse 173 as above, Mohammad says, ‘About forbidden dead animals and blood’ must be halal. This is true and useful and the right is with the messenger one hundred percent.
The ‘dead’ that dies without a legal slaughter, since ancient times among the peoples of the Middle East, the animal must be slaughtered in a place in front of the neck and hung by the leg with its head below so that the blood can drain completely.
First: The meat remains clean in appearance.
Second: The meat will last for a few days, without an unpleasant smell, in a natural cold place without a refrigerator. At that time, neither in the Middle East nor in the rest of the known world, were there artificial air conditioners for preserving meat for a long time.
Third: The delicious taste of eating it does not resemble the taste of other non-halal meat.
The ‘dead’ is a risky one and poses a danger to people’s health from the period of its death without a legitimate slaughter and the blood remains frozen in its body. For this reason and for health protection, it is the law of the Mohammadians and even among the faithful Jews and Christians, on how to kill an animal, the necessity that its slaughter be permissible. Today, it bears a prominent official seal in our modern age, sometimes from an expert Mohammadiah’s health organization.
Swine’s Meat
As for the law prohibiting eating swine’s meat, it has important reasons, not as fools slander him.
First: The swine has some bodily organs similar to those of a human being.
Second: The swine female’s menstrual cycle is similar to that of a woman.
Third: The swine eats insects, worms, rats and dirt…in the natural field.
Fourth: Swines are inhabited by demons: ‘the unclean spirits entered them by order of the Lord Christ when he expelled them when they came out of the possessed man during his recovery near the shore of the lake.’ Read the Holy Bible.
Fifth: This is a very important point of prevention for those who are interested. In the past, biologists discovered, especially in swine’s meat there is a dangerous worm, ‘a worm that is fatal to people who eat its meat without detecting it.’
This is the main important and dangerous reason.
Mohammad, in his limited time in the field of science and research, forbade eating pork to protect people’s health and their sudden death. As for today, in our modern age, it is possible to eat its healthy meat, which allowed to those who see it after examining it, treating it and preparing it.
In the prohibition of ‘land hunting,’ see Surat al-Ma’idah, Verse 96 as above.
From our point of view, we believe that if a hunter kills a wild goat, an antelope, another animal or a bird that is allowed to be eaten and at great speed within seconds, he slaughters it in the neck and hangs it to drain completely, we believe that nothing prevents eating and forbidding it, it is permissible, ‘Halal.’ Rather, the hunter is obligated to ensure the integrity of the prey. This is due to the awareness and choice of the human creature and faith to make the decision and do the duty.
The Drinking
Drinking alcohol is beneficial and harmful according to its type and quantity.
• Health Benefits of Alcohol
Naturally, a human being, of all religions and peoples of the world, consumes alcohol daily with his food. He does not know or feel its effect because the amount of its substance is small.
• For example: Take the fruit of grapes and apples…When you are hungry and you eat in the evening without food a quantity of grapes about 600 grams or more, then you sleep all night. These grapes are squeezed, digested in your stomach and fermented as an amount of alcohol.
• In fact, the most delicious alcohol is the Lebanese wine and ‘arak,’ the king of alcohol, especially when you mix arak with a quantity of cold water or pieces of ice; that alcohol is extracted from the fruit of grapes.
• Consuming a small amount of wine, Lebanese ‘arak’ and vinegar, while eating in moderation, especially with meat, is beneficial for digestion, cleaning the liver, killing insects…From oxidative deposits, reducing cholesterol, fighting colds, diseases and the like and some hidden daily germs.
• Most people and restaurants use an amount of alcohol in their cooking to improve its deliciousness.
• Medical scientists have proven in their studies and research that consuming a small, moderate amount of red grape wine is beneficial for blood cells, the liver and human health; provided that you do not take medicines with it and for proof, consult a doctor. There are many health benefits of alcohol.
