The Suffering of Christ’s Followers, ‘The Christians’

The Suffering of Christ’s Followers, ‘The Christians’

All that development of the new life, the ‘New World,’ did not happen to the Christian or the advanced Christian civil society during a day and night. Rather, it cost the Christians a precious life that has no price on the face of the Earth, except for consideration by God and the entry of His eternal kingdom through sacrifice and martyrdom for the sake of humans and humanity.

The Christian has suffered persecution, terror, humiliation and savoured the cruelty of his murder from the rest of the regimes and peoples who reject ‘The Way, The Truth, The Life,’ and the knowledge of the Love of the Spirit of God.

When Christ was crucified and died on the cross near Jerusalem in a place of the skull, in the Hebrew language it is called Golgotha, His disciples collapsed and Judas Iscariot hanged himself for his regret over the treachery of his master Christ. Fear pervaded themselves and in the selves of all His followers ‘The Christians.’

How Did Christians Survive in an Atmosphere of Persecution and Terror…Through Their Lives after the Absence of Christ?

No doubt some of them died. Some took refuge in the rugged remote mountains in Lebanon – Phoenicia and hid in natural caves, sometimes made with their own hands. But in cities and towns they were hiding, in the shelters under basements and in places hidden from the eyes of their pursuers and opponents. They practiced their religious activities, meetings and rituals with caution and disciplined control.

The Source of Injustice and Persecution
The source of injustice and persecution of Christ’s followers, after His absence, came from the opposition of blind Jews and from the corrupt Rome system.
The source of the Jews: Not all Jews were satisfied with the persecution of the Christians, because they were at that time divided into three groups.
• The First Category: They were the chief priests, extremists, blind, with the Pharisees and the scribes.
• The Second Category: They were the wandered pagans.
• The Third Category: They were the moderates who believed in the message and evangelization of Christ and the making of His great miracles.

Victory of Lord Christ

The Victory of Christ in His March
The victory of Christ in His message is divided into stages in His life, from His birth to His death on the cross and His resurrection from the dead.

The first stage: His formation in the womb of His pious mother, Mary, who was full of grace and blessing from the Spirit of God, and His birth, was hidden from the knowledge of Herod’s whereabouts. His transfer with His parents to Egypt in order to escape the massacre of children ordered by the criminal Herod and His return with them to Nazareth after the death of Herod.
• The second stage: His upbringing and growing up with holy parents who lived their lives in the path of theology to consecrate God and serve the society. And they gave Jesus proper love and care.
• The third stage: His lack of personal interest in the demands of a temporal life and the acquisition of the material for comfortable living.
• The fourth stage: His choice and decision to sacrifice His life to save the world from its sins and preach the kingdom of God in which the straight path, Love, light, truth and free life are against slavery, injustice and murder.
• The fifth stage: His challenge to the fear and cruelty of the corrupt moral rule of the Romans and those who opposed Him in Israel, like the scribes, the Pharisees, the chief priests, the elders of the synagogues and the idolaters.
• The sixth stage: His love equally for all people, even His opponents, regardless of colour, race and physical appearance and He granted them forgiveness and tolerance.
• The seventh stage: He founded His church, was its first shepherd and chose Peter from among His disciples to be the invincible rock in its foundation and handed him the keys of Heaven and Earth to be its faithful shepherd, to bind and dissolve as he pleased with the grace of the Holy Spirit.
• The eighth stage: He was the first to recommend and called in the history of mankind, the idea of establishing the Charity giving to help the poor and needy. This idea is a jewel of the jewels of the essences of humans’ work, the love of God and the service of humanity.
• The ninth stage: He carried the cross with confidence and challenged death courageously, because He had confidence and faith in the Spirit of God and His victory over evil, moral corruption, hatred, delusion and murder and expected the coming of a new life in which a human lives with dignity.

• The tenth stage: liberating the human being from weakness and fear, enlightening his mind with light, the light of knowledge and righteousness, consolidating faith in himself and his honest work, embracing respectful Love and freedom, achieving brotherhood among peoples, rejecting violence, terrorism, killing and slavery, encouraging sound work and cooperation, preserving truth and achieving peace.

Testimony and Resurrection

Testimony and Resurrection

• Testimony

Last time I said: Lord Christ was the first martyr for the sake of knowing God, the Most High One and respecting ‘humanity’ and establishing His first Church before all martyrs in the global Christians community. He was martyred and died on the cross for the salvation of the entire world from vice, sin and for the advent of light, meaning Love, knowledge, awareness, truth and a new life.

He declared His motto and the essence of the words of his philosophy in his evangelization and martyrdom, as He said: ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life.’ ‘I am the light of the world; he who follows me will not walk in darkness, but has the light of life.’ See John 8:12, 14:6

Today I explain further

God: He is the One Most High, the Living Perfect Spirit.
• The way: It is the light ‘from the Holy Spirit who proceeds from God’ that illuminates the darkness that is wandering, ambiguity, vices, evil and lately (on the increase is the mental health and drugs…)
• Truth: It is the word of God that Christ preached to peoples by the power of the Holy Spirit.
• Life: It is salvation, tranquillity/peace and happiness.
The Salvation: It is from sin, vice and evil.
– The Tranquillity: It is the knowledge of what is right and good by faith and prayer to walk through the light of thought on the straight safe path to the kingdom of God.
– The Happiness: It is the attainment of the perfection of unity of the Sublime Spirit, through Love, forgiveness, honesty and loyalty, so that we may be with the eternal glory of God.

• The Resurrection

The resurrection is the resurrection of Christ from the dead, from the annihilation. Christ is not dead; His Spirit, His words and His teachings are still alive. Rather, His body died for three days and then was raised from the dead by His Holy Spirit, victorious over sin eternally, to a new life for the new human, the humanity. We say the death of the Lord Christ and His triumphant resurrection from the dead was the beginning of reinforcing the faith of the new creation. It is ‘The New World’; and the confirmation of the existence of the kingdom of God, for the happiness of the person who believes with His guidance and teachings. It is the rejection of vice, sin and evil, to remain in the kingdom of God, after his death in eternal life.

Good Friday

Today the Friday 18TH of April 2025 is the yearly anniversary of the crucifixion of Lord Jesus Christ known as Good Friday.  It is sadness and a joy for His Christians followers.

Sadness because He died young man in His thirties of age in ancient Rome time, which was the oppressive and corrupt cruel ruler, with its values and morals. That cruel empire was building its greatness on the bondage of the human creature and using him like an animal. He had no value or personal freedom, but his name was only ‘slave.’

Jesus was witnessing with his own eyes how soldiers and tax collectors took supplies entirely from the people to provide for themselves, their horses, citizens, slaves and leave them with their families and children in a state of hunger and needs. Jesus watched the young men, matured men of his homeland Nazareth and Israel, being tied with chains and driven into slaves to hard labour and war on the remote fronts located on the borders of Rome, whether in the east, west or Africa. They would never return, leaving their families, friends, loved ones, children, villages, livelihoods and cities to the far, awaited death. Jesus was affected by the cruel behaviour of the Roman rulers. In his prime youth and manhood, he watched his fellow human beings dying slowly on the crosses in open air as condemned by stern Rome. It was happening in the face of fierce freezing winds, descending snow, under heavy rain and the harshness of the sun in the scorching heat.

Jesus heard how the rulers and Caesars of Rome held parties and celebrations for the people to watch the swordsmen, wrestlers and gladiators kill each other in the battlefield ring. No one dared to confront corrupt Rome, defend the dignity of the human being and get rid of the yoke of oppression. With the exception of some groups of Hebrew – Jewish heroes, rebellious resistance fighters adhering to their Jewish customs and laws, they worked stealthily underground and launched their blitzkrieg attacks from time to time on Roman soldiers, their posts and their rulers. Jesus witnessed and touched his human brother’s pain, torment and despair for life. All that fierce Jewish resistance resulted in increasing the pressure, persecution and injustice of the authority of corrupt Rome on the people of Israel. Jesus rejected violence, and this was his first choice, and he decided to teach the people and preach the kingdom of God with a spirit of Love and liberate his country and the world from evil, sins and violence to make peace.

He was the first martyr for the sake of knowing God, the Most High One and respecting ‘humanity’ and establishing the Church before all martyrs in the global community, He is the eternal glory.

He was martyred and died on the cross for the salvation of the entire world from vice, sin and for the advent of light, meaning Love, knowledge, awareness, truth and a new life.

In His evangelization He said: ‘Truly, truly Heaven and Earth will pass away, and my words will not pass away.’

This was His motto and the essence of the words of his philosophy in his evangelization and martyrdom, as He said: ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life.’

And in other place in Gospel He said, ‘I am the light of the world; he who follows me will not walk in darkness, but has the light of life.’ See John 8:12, 14:6

At His martyrdom, He defeated the darkness of human thought; He defeated oppressive corrupt Rome in peaceful way for ever and made the victory in His resurrection on the third day which is the joy and the hope of the believers to make peace on Earth and have a safe eternal life in heaven.

Without the teachings of the Spirit of Christ, life has no meaning!

Modern Israel

Modern Israel

Modern Israel and Lebanon are the largest assets and possessions in the Middle East, especially for the Arabs and the world.
We call modern Israel, the young intelligent, elevated state, different from old Israel. Its people are the children of their ancient ancestors who persecuted, killed, enslaved, forcibly abandoned ancient Israel and scattered all over the world. It has its own original Hebrew nationalism, its main official language and its Jewish worship, which is the mother of the Christian and Mohammadian creeds, its policy is democratic.
Today, as we said, it is a modern state that matches the liberal, democratic, advanced and modern countries of the world behind its enthusiasm, activity and diligent insight, pioneering in care and research for the good of life.
The Arabs, the Lebanese and the regional regions are fortunate to have it as their advanced elevated neighbour. The Lebanese must liberate themselves from the rule of their thievish and traitorous heads of clans. And respect the law and regulations and eradicate the cancer of the administration, so that the awesome Lebanon, ‘Peace and Friendship,’ may flourish.
Since Israel’s independence, it has proven to itself and the world its worth, its democracy, its contribution to building humans and life, modernizing science and civilization and its contribution to the global economy and supporting the liberal world; this cannot be ignored.

Israel is one of the six important nations in the philosophy of their civilization and their national motto for the preservation of civil life.

The Important Vanguards of These Six Countries Are:

  1.  Lebanon, the invention of the alphabet and the birthplace of first Parliament in the world. Its flag is the emblem of peace, friendship, and liberty
  2.  Greece, the birthplace of democracy.
  3.  Israel, whose flag is the emblem of religion’s knowledge, loyalty to the Spirit of God the Highest, democracy and liberty.
  4.  The United States of America, whose flag is the emblem of liberty and democracy, this slogan is not only for the Americans, but for every individual and country that sanctifies respect and safeguards liberty.
  5.  Free France, whose flag is the emblem of liberty, liberté – equality, égalité – fraternity, fraternité.
  6.  Great Britain, whose flag is the emblem of law and order, democracy and liberty.
The modern Israeli people liberated their neglected and lost land and built life on it within the will of law, order, democracy, loyalty and awareness, destroying and avoiding the policy of the cancer of the administration: ‘For my sake and your sake.’ ‘Pour moi et pour votre bien.’

Arrival of Ancient ‘Palestinians’ to Gaza.

In the late thirteenth and early twelfth centuries BC, the peoples and tribes of Asia Minor and the Aegean Basin moved. Some of them from the Indo-European race crossed the seas with others, invaded the Syrian coast and Phoenicia in the far north and ruined what they destroyed on their way, including the famous city of Ugarit.

Those peoples -tribes couldn’t conquered or settled in Phoenicia because in that time was very powerful. They turned around Cyprus and headed straight to Egypt.  About 1191 BC, they reached the borders of Egypt and the Egyptians led by the hero Ramses III stopped their attack. So, they retreated to the southern shore of Lebanon – Phoenicia and the land of Canaan. There they found an opportunity and a suitable place to settle in the land from the Jaffa border to Rafah.
These tribes were known by tribal names such as Peleste, Pulaste and Purasti. Their names were mentioned in an inscription left by Ramses III. Read Breasted, Vol. IV, Sec. 403.
Later on, these tribes were called ‘the Philistines’ and the land of their new homeland, ‘Gaza,’ which they occupied in the southern part of the land of Canaan – Phoenicia was called ‘Palestine’ alongside the existed ancient Israel. Thus, since that temporal occupation in known human history, the corrupt Rome called later the land of that region by mistake the name Palestine.

The Philistines
The ancient Palestinians were a strange new people in the region, hostile and attacking. They were not the Arab Palestinians of today and did not belong to the Semitic race. They were even known, as we said earlier, of the Indo-European race. See Dr Philip Hitti, Lebanon in History.
Initially, after retreating back from the Egyptian defense force, the Sea Peoples, Indo-Europeans and ‘Philistines’ occupied the area that extends from Gaza to Jaffa and established an important emirate for them over its area.

Indo-European Civilization, ‘Palestinians’
1. The ancient (Philistines) Palestinians did not have a distinct and rich culture like the culture of the Hebrews – Jews, which calls for enriching the soul of the individual with the sublime laws of God and worshiping him in order to walk the path of light and the development of humanity.
2. The ancient Palestinian people were a non-Semitic people and a mixture of different tribes and peoples living near the Black Sea. Their origin can only be determined and known by DNA.
3. The Palestinian people were a fierce people in their fighting and war. They came to the region as a warrior and conquering people. They destroyed, plundered and demolished many cities; even some of them ceased to exist in the countries they invaded on their way, as mentioned earlier.
4. The Indo-European ‘Palestinian’ people had equipment, weapons and complete knowledge of iron making, smelting and using it in fighting and war.
5. From their extensive experience in iron making, they contributed and accelerated the transition of civilization from its Bronze Age in the Mediterranean region to the Iron Age, which was widely used by the human creature in all the tools and machines that it uses in its daily life.
6. The Indo-European-Palestinian people were weak in the values of their spiritual community and strong in engineering material and weapons for use in fighting and war.
7. The Indo-European-Palestinians did not leave us with religious or other written books that have feats and knowledge in developing the life of their spiritual society and the global community.
8. The Indo-European people – the Philistines arrived at the borders of Egypt to fight the Egyptians around 1191 BC. But under the pressure of the Egyptians’ ferocious defense of their country, they retreated to the Gaza Strip and occupied it. From there they began to penetrate the lowland of Canaan and harass, clash and fight with the inhabitants of the country, among them the Hebrews, the settled Jews who preceded them to the Promised Land.

The Indo-European, ‘Palestinian,’ Collision with ancient Jews

The Indo-European, ‘Palestinian,’ Collision with ancient Jews
The clash between Indo-Europeans (Palestinians) and ancient Jews were due to fundamental reasons in the different civilizations of the two peoples:
Culture of the Jewish People
1. The culture of the Jewish people is rich in its laws, customs and worship.
2. The culture of the Jewish people cannot be overlooked and ignored.
3. The culture of the Jewish people was the first important foundation upon which the world was built from its inspiration, laws and religious civilization. At the same time, it is the mother of the divine religions, which the majority of the peoples of the world embraced with the philosophy of the Christian religion and the Mohammadian faith many centuries afterwards.
4. The Jewish people were converted to the lowland of Canaan by God’s command.
5. The Jewish people are creative people and always occupy high positions because they are a people who sacrifice, develop and serve the hospitable country with loyalty and success.
6. The Jewish people do not like to rule the world through injustice and slavery, but they want for the people of the world prosperity, development and happy lives.
7. The Jewish people always love and support freedom and do not abandon their values, laws and worship of God, no matter how acute and dangerous the difficulties and challenges are.
8. The Jews do not like war. And if they went to war, they would defend the existence of their being, which is necessary for a healthy life.
9. The Jews want peace and to work with other peoples of all colours, religions, classes and cultures, away from racial discrimination, to carry out their works and pursue their peaceful path in developing life.
10. The Jews did not have the experience of war, equipment and weapons to fight the Palestinians in the lowland of Canaan. They were poor in engineering equipment and weapons for use in combat and warfare. They were strong in faith and the values of their spiritual community.
11. The Jewish people are a generous people who give and assist charitable, educational, industrial and artistic-cultural institutions and recognize the loyalty of others.
12. If it were not for the prophets and messengers of the Hebrews – Jews and their laws, there would be no world today that has reached a kind of sophistication and civilization.
13. The Hebrews – Jews, despite their vital and fundamental contribution to laying the foundation of religious civilization for world culture, are masters of cunning as recorded in their history, policy and defensive campaigns. They are the people who most use that natural feature that has been found in their lineage since ancient times. That is why they face confrontation and difficulty with some state leaders in their global affairs and positions. In the modern era, they have to change these ways and means, because the world has changed in science and peoples’ conviction, in matters of public and international relations.
14. The first migration of the Hebrews – Jews to the lowland of Canaan from the city of Ur took place under the leadership of Abraham around 1870 BC and they arrived in Canaan around 1864 BC.
The second migration, ‘Exodus,’ from Egypt was led by Moses and his assistants, around 1440 BC.
15. The presence of the Jewish people in the lowland of Canaan is older than that of the Indo-European people, Palestinians, in the region.

The Hebrews-Jews

The Hebrews-Jews learned about the worship of God, the One, Most High, from a Lebanese Canaanite priest since the time of Abraham’s entry into the region. They demonstrated their love for culture and writing and their interest in developing religion and civilization. This is what made them stand out with their culture among the first peoples of the region. They are compatible with all the peoples of the Earth without distinction of form, colour and race. Sometimes they are forced to fight and go to war, if need be, only for the sake of defending themselves and for the safety of living and liberty.
The Hebrew people did not like to build and modernize armies and crawl over countries to subjugate and rule them, as did the rest of the invaders, with the exception of the time of King David. Because the Hebrew – Jewish people preserve their traditions and the laws of their doctrine. This is the basis for building its society, the secret of its existence and the renewal of its lineage with time.

Achievements of the Hebrews – Jews

Here we want to draw the reader’s attention to something important in the life of the Hebrews – Jews. They enjoy a social advantage different from the rest of the peoples of the Earth. They are patient, staunch and loyal to the traditions of their ancestors’ civilization and society and pay more attention to their language than other peoples.
There is a unique and important thing in the civilization of their society and I proudly record it here for the assemblage and history. It is their loyalty and their ability to preserve their language since they came to the land of Canaan and during their displacement and migration to any place. They taught it to their generations and used it as their official language in building their new homeland, modern Israel. This was after their dispersal, absence and emigration for more than a thousand years from their land in ancient Israel and their lineage was almost on the verge of extinction due to racial calamities and wars.
This is a great intelligent people who deserve respect and consideration for their merit and loyalty to their race. While some other peoples abandoned their language and lost it by their selfishness, betrayal of themselves and ignorance of their civilization. Although they did not go through bitterness, torment, racial persecution and death as the Hebrews – Jews did through time.
If we want to publish books about the achievements of Jewish people and contribution to life, to the civilization of the entire world that are few in number and percentage to the population of the Earth, then we cannot do that achievement in a limited time.
In brief, the Hebrews – Jews contributed in all fields and demands of life. They are among the great pioneers in life, whether in art, acting, administration, agriculture, culture, commerce, engineering, health, industry, law, music, politics, science, security and tourism, especially in religion, which is the principle of life in the knowledge of the Spirit of God. Moreover, they are humble, loving and helpful people who offer their allegiance to any respectable and hospitable country.
The ancient land of Israel was forcibly abandoned by Jews due to the brutality of the invaders’ aggression; they rejected the Roman slavery and the intermarriage with the conquering peoples for the sake of their self-unity, their relationship and their worship of God, the One and Most High. Wherever they go and settle in a country, they maintain their self-unity and work actively and successfully for the prosperity of the hospitable country.
But they did not forget the Promised Land, the land of their ancestors, the prophets and messengers who were buried in it and who paved and contributed, in their time, to the refinement of the soul of manimal in the worship of God, the One and Most High, who sent his only Son, Christ, to save the world and to consider the human creature as human and to serve humanity.
Of course, some peoples of the Earth look at them with covet for their intelligence, their hard work, their success in all fields of life and their civilized social behaviour. Instead, those who are envious among the peoples should imitate their character and do the best for the prosperity and peace of life. In their numerous and successful mediums and large arranged interests and business in the East, West, North and South, they are employing thousands and millions of the people of the Earth, even their opponents, except in form, colour and race.
Wherever the Jews went and settled, their first goals were loyalty to the hospitable country, the success of their projects and the preservation of their good reputation.
When they suffered torment, persecution and death in Christian Europa, which considers itself the sophisticated civilized continent, their leaders, with influence in international relations on the side of the Allies, the ‘liberal world,’ worked to save Europa. And to restore humanity and liberty and to get rid of the evil regime from the Nazis that was a threat to world civilization during the thirties and forties in the twentieth century.

The Love and Humanity of the Canaanites
In the lowland of Southern Phoenicia – Lebanon, the Lebanese Canaanites – Phoenicians welcomed the Hebrews – Jews, with the arrival of Abraham and settled in its lowland. From the generosity, offering and giving of the Love of the Canaanites, the Hebrews – Jews established ancient Israel with their struggle through time, under the leadership of the Honourable King David with his ally and the assistance of his all-time legend friend the Honourable King Hiram, in the glorious city of Tyre.
Corrupt Rome’s Fault
After a period of time, the corrupt Rome invaded the Middle East and turned ancient Israel into Palestine, with the stroke of a pencil and a vassal province under the influence of a ruler from its Empire without a legitimate government. Because the Hebrews – Jews were the only liberal people in the region at that time, they opposed the corrupt rules and laws of Rome. With the time of the chaotic invasion, ancient, peaceful, weak Israel was forcibly subjected, like the rest of the peoples of the region, to numerous occupations and the displacement of its peoples, some of whom sought refuge in the cities of Lebanon in Phoenicia, Cyprus and other countries and settled under the protection of the Canaanites.
Through that Hebrew – Jewish displacement, many peoples flocked to the ancient land of Israel, which was called Palestine and settled in its land to work as slaves under the regimes of the Romans and non-Roman occupation without an international legitimacy. There were fierce wars on its land, some of which were religious, strategic and economic.

The Hebrews-Jews

The Hebrews – Jews
For the Hebrews – Jews, there were two emigrations to the lowland in the land of Canaan, in Southern Lebanon – Phoenicia.
• The first migration was from the north-east, from Ur of the Chaldeans in ancient Iraq – Mesopotamia. Led by Terah and Abram the father, the great-great-greatest grandfather of the Hebrews–Jews, the Christians and the Ishmaelians – Mohammadians.
• The second migration was from Egypt.
